160th Anniversary of Friendship Japan-Belgium event: Japanese Festival at the Library in Bièvre

From January through February of this year, as part of the 160th anniversary of Friendship between Japan-Belgium, the public library in the city of Bièvre, Namur Province, held a Japanese Festival.
During the event, our Embassy also hosted lectures on Japan (covering literature, culture, and more) led by origami artist Michel David, as well as origami workshops and calligraphy workshops led by our staff. Participants enjoyed the Japanese culture activities and the opportunity to deepen their understanding of Japan.
